We spoke with a group of Advisor Perspectives readers to determine the top investment strategy challenges they face in today's markets.  Our writer, Susan Weiner, looks at the responses, which range from diversification to low interest rates to managing clients' emotions.

Guest contributor Robert Padres believes the concessions made in the Bear Stearns transaction will force the Bank of America to renegotiate its takeover of Countrywide.  Padres compares the two transactions, and shows why the market may be wrong in its anticipation of a higher offer coming from B of A.

Tom Au, Chief Economist with the Wentworth China Fund and author of the book A Modern Approach to Graham & Dodd Investing, explains why his valuation models imply a 50% drop in market prices and a 10 year bear market.  Au also examines how advisors should adjust portfolios in the context of the sub-prime crisis.

Henry Schwarzberg, Chief Investment Officer of InterServ, takes issue with last week's article Collective Wisdom, Financial Markets, and Investment Lessons from Google.  Schwarzberg believes skillful active managers can be identified, and wealth managers can earn alpha in excess of their advisory fees.
