What impact will the
US economy have on the BRIC countries?  Deirdre Keown, Managing Editor of the Australian publication BRIC+ Digest, examines each of the four BRIC economies, their dependence on the US as a trading partner, and their prospects for inflation and economic growth.

We examine the case for investing in water-based industries.  Although there is little evidence to expect that water will, like oil,  prompt investment based on its scarcity as a natural resource, we do identify the need for infrastructure, on a global basis, to deal with recovery, purification, and delivery.

A new Department of Labor ruling increases the disclosure requirements for 401(k) fiduciaries and investment providers.  We examine the impact this will have on financial advisors and the legal threats posed by the recent LaRue Supreme Court decision.

Lastly, we highlight some recent Advisor Market Commentaries.

We highlight two recent submissions to Advisor Market Commentaries:

John Mauldin looks at corporate earnings, concluding "for you to be bullish today, you have to believe that the recession is over and that earnings are going to rise, not fall."  He goes on to offer his two cents on energy policy.
